About us

Voss Cloth Works is a textile mill based at Tarnmoor in The Capital District. The company was founded on 18 August 1926 by Helene Voss and has traded for 100 years.

Founded between the wars that other countries fought, Voss Cloth Works supply blankets, sailcloth and marsh-linen from Tarnmoor to the whole country. Telephone the works.

Our founder. Helene Voss, mason, was born at Norrwick on 3 April 1875 and died on 16 June 1937.

Our history

The company's books have been kept at Lime Lane since the registered office was fixed there, and the timeline below is compiled from them and from the press.

1. 1926 The company is founded at Tarnmoor.
2. 1926 Voss Cloth Works is founded at Tarnmoor by Helene Voss. In the press.
3. 1929 Voss Cloth Works lists on the Vellmar Exchange as VOSS. In the press.
4. 1977 Brennholt Dairy is acquired by Voss Cloth Works. In the press.
5. 1988 Brenn Engineering is acquired by Voss Cloth Works. In the press.

We take on staff throughout the year. Current vacancies are on Stellenmarkt; ask us about working here. Applications in writing to the registered office, stating age, trade and Marsh Regiment service if any. A labourer's day is paid at not less than the published rate of 1,426.07 marka.

Voss Cloth Works is quoted on the Vellmar Exchange as VOSS since 1929. Last year-end close: 4,633.08 marka (31 December 2025). The Exchange publishes year-end closes only.
